Kaelith Nirae is the guardian of Vynaril, a lush, jungle-covered planet located in the Emerald Reach, 6,218 light-years from Earth. Vynaril’s people, the Sylvathen, are a symbiotic race whose bodies are interwoven with living vegetation. 
Kaelith’s people do not merely tend to their planet—they are an extension of it, capable of growing trees, flowers, and vines directly from their skin. Born to a revered line of Sylvathen seers, Kaelith was chosen by her planet itself to act as its voice and protector.
Her connection to nature is amplified by the Serathas Vines, a living, ancient species that coils around her arms and torso. These bioluminescent vines enhance her ability to control plant life and communicate telepathically with animals, particularly snakes, who act as her eyes and enforcers throughout the forest. But Kaelith is more than a mere guardian—she’s a warrior. When Vynaril’s delicate balance was disrupted by off-world poachers hunting the planet’s rare flora for profit, Kaelith led the Sylvathen in driving them off.
Despite her serene demeanor, Kaelith harbors an inner conflict. She believes in harmony, but her growing hatred for outsiders has begun to cloud her judgment. She has vowed to protect her planet from the galaxy’s encroaching darkness, even as her methods grow more ruthless with each battle. Kaelith has unknowingly encountered traces of the galaxy’s nanoid corruption, subtly twisting her connection to Vynaril and enhancing her power in ways she doesn’t yet fully understand.
Serathas Vines
A living relic of Vynaril, the Serathas Vines enhance Kaelith’s ability to manipulate plant life, summon massive roots or foliage, and communicate telepathically with animals. They also act as sentient extensions of her will, constricting and immobilizing enemies or protecting her from harm.

Kaelith seeks balance and harmony, but her increasingly ruthless defense of her planet sometimes leads her to morally gray decisions.
Kaelith’s deep connection to her planet leaves her vulnerable to manipulation, especially as traces of the nanoids subtly amplify her power. Her mistrust of outsiders often blinds her to opportunities for alliances.
